Reader Dipak Patel and I had been trying unsuccessfully to get PDF export to work until his question in the help forum prompted an answer to download the .zip file rather than just the .java file. The .zip file is larger because it includes the necessary libraries for this feature.

P.S. If you have a large project, the chart might not be readable in the exported PDF format. You may still have to print to PDF directly (or from the HTML export to customize page size) to generate multiple sheets to get larger print.

And if you've started by downloading the .zip file, and you're using the preference file I posted initially, you'll have to modify it slightly to accommodate for the slightly more complicated file structure.
