Great product, but...

Off-Topic slightly...

I have been looking for something to free me of my Microsoft Project fixation and this seems to be the one.

I have a question though, how do you alter the resources type in the settings dialog?

Another option FastTrack

You might want to also look at Fast Track, published by AEC software ( http://www.aecsoft.com/ ).

In the past it was fairly unstable, but it's latest version has proven fairly solid. Easy to set up, and easy to use (esp. if you know project). Lot's of features, although a few little niggly things will piss you off if you use it often... (esp. the way resources are assigned to tasks and tracked. It's so cumbersome to be useless).

Another option FastTrack

FastTrack looks very interesting. But being the lone Mac user who dares to replace his office PC in a Windows-only company, I would need some compelling reasons to come up with my own funds to buy FastTrack. However, I can see this product being perfect for the career project manager.

Thanks for the pointer!

working with resource roles

I've found that while you can't edit the existing resource roles, you can add new ones under the Edit, Settings menu option.
