Can You Kill This Feature, at least in Mozilla Browsers?
Authored by: Makosuke on Jan 21, '04 03:54:44PM

Anybody know of a way to turn this *off* (in Safari or better yet, Camino), for those of us who never use it?

The reason I ask is there's a maddening semi-bug in Camino that's related to this "feature".

The problem, best I can figure, only occurs when entering Japanese text into a web form of some sort. Delete (obviously) should just delete the previous character.

However, at some semi-random intervals (at least, I can't find any pattern) the text field seems to loose focus, at least for the purpose of detecting how to handle the delete. Hence, trying to delete a typo results in going back a page. Since the contents of the form frequenly don't re-appear when you go forward, this is incredibly frustrating.
