Only the real apps aree hidden, their are symbolic links in ``sane'' places for them. For example, System Preferences is hidden, but there is a symbolic link to it from the Utilities folder. Many of the usual little Apple apps have symlinks to them from the Accessories folder. etc. I just wanted to be able to have my applications directory act link a menu. The problem is that Apple won't let you move their applications about (as their updater program is too stupid to find them).
