Graphic Converter Free only on 'Pro' Machines
FYI i'm pretty sure that GraphicConverter is only free on Apple's 'Pro' machines IE the PB G4 and Powermac G5

Also note that you cannot install ANY upgrade on the GraphicConverter included with your PowerBook. You either pay or you're stuck with that specific version which came bundled with your machine. You're not entitled to even the tiniest 0.01 version change. There's some discount for bundled copy owners, but that's it.

You can upgrade for 11 bucks, if you got your copy of GC bundled w/your mac. Goto the GC homepage, and click on the "upgrade oem" link and go from there. The trick is you have send them a copy of your invoice to get this price.

Besides, Graphic Converter is such an overall useful program for anyone who's doing anything with images or photos that it's more than worth paying full price for. This is a commercial-quality program with a shareware price, and it's being updated constantly. And if you buy a full license now, you won't have to pay for another upgrade for the next ten years.

You're probably right. I got it with my PB which was running 10.2 at the time (late september. yes, recent convert w/20+ years unix experience and I love my mac!) |
