iCal need to be open for alarm to sound?
Authored by: sTvN on Jan 14, '04 11:53:57AM

On a somewhat related note, does iCal need to be open for an alarm to "go off"? What happens if your computer is asleep for when the alarm should "go off"? I'm finding that I'm not getting a lot of alarms, and think these are the reasons. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's been my experience as well. I really need a hint to find out how to use alarms without keeping iCal open all the time.

ICal does NOT need to be open for an alarm to go off, but (I think) that you must be logged onto your account. I think (although I have not tested it) that your computer must NOT be asleep.
