10.3: Easily drag from the desktop to a particular window

To drop a file in a particular window, I use Expose in 2 modes.

First I reveal the desktop (F11), then grab the file I want. Once I have it, I reveal all windows (F9). Then I just look for the window I want.

If you hold the file over the desired window for a second or two, it will automatically activate. Then I just drop the file into the window.

Seems to be faster, at least for me.

Remember that hitting the space bar brings an Exposéd window to the front immediately. So you can make that window pop back out of Exposé even faster with a tap of your thumb.
