10.3: Configure AirPort via Ethernet
Authored by: alancookie on Dec 30, '03 01:41:46PM

I have AEBS w/modem and a friend is wired into the base station with a windows pc...does any one know if he can reset/configure the modem via software on the windows machine? I had him install a Java app that was supposed to provide some feedback, but that did not work. I usually do this wirelessly from my PB, but I hav instructed my friend to unplug/plug back in the base station if it's having problems logging in via the modem. Thanks in advance for any information

I have some C code that can connect/disconnect the ABS modem. I've run it on various UNIX systems (including OS X), and it should be possible to get it running on Windows. But I don't know anything about Windows programming, so I couldn't port it myself.

I also have a Carbonized application that runs on OS X, although it has a number of cosmetic problems.

Both are available here.
