10.3: Hide the swap partition from Finder's sidebar
can't you just drag the hard disk(s) you don't want off of the sidebar?
SetFile not appearing
Hello,
SetFile not appearing
Make sure /Developer/Tools is included in your path. If you're using tcshrc, add something like this to your .cshrc or tcshrc:
SetFile not appearing
I use the default Bash. Where is the init file that you're talking about. Why didn't this get added when I installed the developer tools?
yes you can!
yes you can. I submitted this hint some time ago when the side bar was quite new :-)
10.3: Hide the swap partition from Finder's sidebar
Not only can you just drag the swap partition out of the Finder side bar (which is much quicker than turning off the hard drives in Prefs and dragging everything but the swap drive back into the sidebar), but it is also now much, much easier to change your swap partition in Panther.

How to add DevTools to bash path
In the terminal type:
sudo cp /etc/profile /etc/profile.bak;
sudo pico /etc/profileand then edit the line with "PATH=" to look like this: PATH="/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/Developer/Tools"then type control-x to exit, then press y to save changes, then press return to confirm the file location. Then close the terminal window, and reopen! |
