any idea how to get network scanner backend listed?
Authored by: snark on Dec 16, '03 10:18:44AM
I have a scsi scanner connected to my Linux box and have saned the network scanner daemon running there. I can successfully scan from the mac side (on the commandline) with something like
 scanimage -d net:linuxbox:microtek2:/dev/sg3 > out.pnm
But of course, scanimage -L or sane-find-scaner don't list it... Any idea, how to tell the TWAIN side to use a special backend that is not automagically detected?

if your scanner connected to your linuxbox is working, just edit the /usr/local/etc/sane.d/net.conf on you MAC and add the hostname of you linuxbox.

then the twain driver will look remote aswell

works with adobe acrobat / photoshop etc.
