Volume of feedback to Apple on this issue is critical
Authored by: srteresi on Dec 05, '03 01:55:26PM
I should reiterate since no one else has that Apple may only respond to bug reports based on the amount of feedback they receive through their OS X feedback page. To increase the chances of Apple fixing this bug, please post your feedback on this page: Mac OS X Feedback, as I have.

An Apple Discussions "Helper" (Dr. Smoke) has posted an informative bit in this discussions thread: Panther Finder Bugs and Annoyances. He mentions that, in reality, Apple does not scan the discussion forums (and presumably the forums of other web sites such as this) for product suggestions and issues. Also, he says that the volume of feedback on a topic "is critical to increasing the probability of a requested feature being added."

So remember to go directly to Apple with your grievances.
