This doesn't seem to work if you try doing it twice with a window that has no icons in it.

it looks like this happens because you're essentially just typing into the window, pressing a letter key will bring the window back with the corresponding icon highlighted. It doesn't seem to work more than once with column view windows. Cool nevertheless :-)

The frontmost Finder-Window stays active even when not visible cause of Exposé.

If you press a key, i.e. "g", the window comes back and higlights the first item called "g********".
I think that's a bug.

I don't see the use of this feature.You have to be in Finder and it works for the active window only. I can see this window anyway. Why using F11-keystroke?

i think purpose of the f11 is to see what is on the desktop - then, if i want e.g. to copy something to or from the last finder window visited, i find this hint very useful
