Mellel
You failed to list the most serious multi-lingual/academic
word processor for the Mac in existence: Mellel! See here: http://www.redlers.com/
Mellel
I can't believe Mellel wasn't included in this poll. Although touted as the best multi-lingual word processor, I have never used it for any language besides English and still find it to be best word processor for OS X.
Mellel
Thanks for the link. This looks like a powerful app.
Mellel
If you haven't tried Mellel, you should. I downloaded it for the Hebrew support, but it has replaced Word as my default word processor. One major advantage: long file names (and I do mean LONG!). Mellel's style handling is far superior to Word's. You can change the formatting of entire paragraphs with only a few key strokes, including font, font weight, indenting, and spacing — all simultaneously.
The guys that write Mellel also support it. It's rare that I need their support, but great support is only an e-mail away. I've never had to wait more than 24 hours for a helpful response. You owe it to yourself to try Mellel.
Simple reason...
Well, it wasn't listed because ... until this poll was published, I'd never heard of it! I'll definitely give it a look-see based on the strong results here. |
