I don't much care for it either. Its funny that Apple's Mail doesn't allow you to compose html messages, and yet Apple is always sending me email messages that are in html. I wonder what email program they're using over there.

So I guess you're all hating OSX 10.4 Tiger's Mail.app, then.
It seems that in Panther, messages with different fonts were sent with a Content-Type of text/enriched whereas the e-mails I've received from my friends running Tiger are sent as ... you guessed it ... text/html.I don't love or hate any particular format of e-mail, the only thing I don't like is unsolicited e-mail, regardless of its format. I have frequently needed to send HTML mails to my friends; and as others have said, for people sending (solicited) newsletters, HTML is the only way to go if you want a decent layout. |
