Remove Acrobat toolbar from Office v.X applications

The only problem is that if you delete that toolbar, then you can't use the features of PDFMaker which allows you to print from Word while keeping all your bookmarks and links intact when the PDF is created.

Embedding links into PDFs starting with a Word file only works on a PC, because only there Microsoft made it possible (or Adobe undertook the effort) to integrate Word and Acrobat.

On the Mac, to my knowledge, only Adobe applications can create PDFs with hyperlinks (I am not sure about LaTeX).

PDF LaTeX and hyperlinks

PDF LaTeX can embed hyperlinks in PDF files by using the hyperref package, which comes standard with most TeX distributions.

Remove Acrobat toolbar from Office v.X applications

I too got tired of the Acrobat toolbar. So, I created a blank file with the same name as the plug-in, locked it, and replaced the plug-in with it.

Of course, I lose all the 'features' the plug-in gives.
