Command-click sidebar items to open in new windows
Authored by: ankh on Nov 17, '03 02:36:22PM

I'm baffled -- can't find an obvious preference setting.

-- I have OSX 10.2.8 installed in two partitions, one copy on my internal (Pismo) drive and the other on an expansion bay hard drive. They should be identical (clone, backup).

Booting from the expansion bay system, I can have several different applications' windows open at the same time on the desktop and switch between them.

Booting from the internal drive, when I switch applications, all the windows for that application close and I have to go to the Dock to get at them again.

And, while I remember there used to be a preference for this under the older OSs, I can't find it under OSX.

Please point me to the obvious answer I'm missing here.

I've never heard of an OS setting for this. I think there's a Haxie that does this, though.
