10.3: Disabling certain fonts via Font Book can cause problems
This is definately not just a problem of deleted fonts. I´d rather think that it´s the Resolve duplicates funtion that causes problems. I never deleted any fonts (and I never would do so, for I´m a typemaniac), but I experience the same problems as described above, like Safari not starting up. This all does not happen while FontBook is running. My rescue right now is to have FontBook running all the time, but, of course, this is not a satisfying solution/workaround at all.
Apple, fix this!!!
btw, remember that "only fractions" bug in safari? Seems to me like there is some conncection with that. Bad font-engine in subsystem?
10.3: Disabling certain fonts via Font Book can cause problems
I've been having problems with my font book, I started disabling fonts, because they were duplicates etc. but then ran into problems with all the applications not being able to open because of Arial not working right. How can I set Font book back to a default setting? |
