I'm too lazy to try myself, but does this procedure work with font files also? I miss the good ol' Classic OS days of easy font installation (drop it on the System Folder).

Yes - double-click on a font file (TT, OTF or T1's screen font suitcase) and FontBook will open, display a sample of the font in a window that has a button "Install this font." Quite sweet.

I would be more impressed if I had not seen a similar install technique in Windows 2000. There are a few things (very few) I like in Windows that M$ had got to ahead of Mac. As they say, with an infinite number of monkeys banging on typewriters...
