Fixes long standing bullet problem

I'm guessing the reason the filesizes get bigger for text is because it includes the fonts (or at least all used characters) when making PDFs. This is SUPER useful for those of us who use Word, and PDF in the bussiness world.

Since OSX I haven't been able to send PDF files to clients from my OSX machine, because the bullets that Word used used some sort of strange character mapping on OSX, and the bullets just disappeared when viewed on Windows.

Depending on the document this can range from strange, to sloppy.

Now it looks like this longstanding problem is finally fixed. A few extra k is a very worthwhile price to pay to be able to send PDFs to clients without asking someone else in the office to make them on OS9 for me. ;)

Jaguar did that, too, font embedding.

Still wasn't this large. Ah well.

The reason the bullet points disappeared when a Word document was saved to PDF was that the bullets were from the Symbol font and would not display in Adobe Reader. If you change the font used for the bullets to Times or any other standard font then the bullets display as they should - even across platforms.

Cheers

If I understand you, bullets created by using the Bullet tool in the Formatting Pallete are created with the Symbol font. Is there any way to change these bullets to, say, Times other than creating your bullets manually (by typing [Option-8]) instead of using the Bullet tool? Is there any way to force Word to use the document font when creating bullets with the Bullet tool?

Thanks.
