The reason the bullet points disappeared when a Word document was saved to PDF was that the bullets were from the Symbol font and would not display in Adobe Reader. If you change the font used for the bullets to Times or any other standard font then the bullets display as they should - even across platforms.

If I understand you, bullets created by using the Bullet tool in the Formatting Pallete are created with the Symbol font. Is there any way to change these bullets to, say, Times other than creating your bullets manually (by typing [Option-8]) instead of using the Bullet tool? Is there any way to force Word to use the document font when creating bullets with the Bullet tool? |
