I tried this just now with some word processing documents (all text, no images), and there was no change. :-(

No longer so stupid. Please read the "10.3: Use ColorSync Utility for PDF refinement" hint. You can create personalised settings to make your PDFs even smaller. OS X is really becoming the best OS in this world.....

See, though, this doesn't apply to me. That's for image compression; I'm talking about text documents that have ballooned up from Jag to Panther.

Maybe the default is know to include the fonts, and that was not the case before?

I printed a lot of stuff to PDF before Panther, and my fonts always carried with the document. |
