10.3: iTunes issue caused by File Vault and low disk space
Hmm, who's brave enough to test it? :)
10.3: iTunes issue caused by File Vault and low disk space
I was using Vault on my home directory with a few GB of data and run into more and more issues as mentioned already (iTunes library corrupted, iPhoto library corrupted, .viminfo file corrupted and even the keyfile filled with garbage from iTunes), I also couldn't use airport extreme anymore. The upgrade to the latest didn't help. So I wanted to disable fileVault and after about 2 hours, fileVault complained that the verification failed and put me back to the encrypted fileVault. Well, I took another backup onto a firewire drive, deleted most of my home directory and ran the disable of Vault, this time in less than 2 minutes ... and successfully. I copied back my home directory and fixed the broken files and do run fine now for a full day, without fileVault. |
