Open Cocoa applications in the background
Hm... no matter how fast I double-click, this doesn't work. Did I miss anything?

Ditto that. This doesn't work on my 800 mhz G3 iBook no matter how many times I click the icon, how fast I click it, using the track button or an external Logitech USB mouse.
Click Speed
Actually, speed is not the key.
Click Speed
Hmm - you do seem to be correct - I got it to work with about 1/8 of a second between clicks as you suggested. The original hint said to double click quickly.. I guess my normal double click speed is a *lot* faster than this, because even at my normal speed it doesn't work... So actually, the hint should say that you should double click at a medium speed...

Doesn't work for me either.. I've tried lots of different clicking speeds...

Actually it does work, but it IS a little hard to get the hang of the right speed. Honestly I wonder if this is really a bug rather than a feature. My results were pretty hit and miss. Out of about 6 attempts at launching iCal using this, I was successful in 3, so it's about 50-50, at least for me. |
