10.3: Copy and paste finally work with text clippings
Authored by: Frederico on Nov 03, '03 01:06:37AM

You absolutely could in Legacy Mac OS -- it was/is one of the most maddening oversights I've experienced in OS X; my workflow developed around hundreds of daily text (and other object) clippings that I could no longer easily use. I was forced to do two things: one, design an entirely different workflow that eliminated or at least reduced text clippings; two, develop AppleScripts that could convert clippings to the clipboard.

I'm mixed about its return; do I go back to the clutter, but convenience of clippings littering my Desktop? Or do I use the more tedious, but organized storage of clippings in document form.

At least I have the choice once more. Maybe by Mac OS X 10.5, the NeXTies running things will have been Applefied sufficiently enough to realize that choice is a good thing in all places.
