10.3: Replace the Exposé 'Show Desktop' behavior
This is an unstable setting. The sector of your desktop covered by the minimized Desktop will be unusable. It eventually crashes the WindowServer, which means you have to login remotely and kill -HUP the process...
Exactly right
You can work around this by moving the window-box to somewhere on the screen other than where your Photoshop palettes (or whatever) live, but it's clearly problematic.
Exactly right

"Hint fails in Panther"...
Ditto. It's very, very, very cool -- and I would much rather have this than the windows-all-fly-away version as it ships. However, broken is broken.
10.3: Replace the Exposé 'Show Desktop' behavior
Under another hint, "10.3: Switch Terminal window focus with mouse movement", mithras accidentally posted a hint which should be here. Check it out: it has two links that, in Safari in 10.3, will open an AppleScript for you that lets you change this setting [you have to run the AppleScript first], or change it back.
10.3: Replace the Exposé 'Show Desktop' behavior
This hint is nice, but VERY VERY unstable. I have been running Panther for about 3 days, and this caused the first crash.
unstable !
after weeks using it, i just reverted back to normal behavior : window server had started acting funny ! |
