10.3: Removing duplicate fonts using FontBook
Authored by: Cunning Linguist on Oct 29, '03 06:49:34PM

Cool. I had quite a few duplicates. While "resolving" them with font book I had top up and running in terminal. I saw almost a megabyte PER FONT gain in available memory as each duplicate was resolved! Wow! Good tip.

p.s. for the person wanting to know where font book is located. Try the Applications folder...just might find it there. If you'd rather not, try Cmd-F while in the Finder. That will enable a "search"....and let you to find things! If all of those fail try the Apple Forums and, as a last resort...call the Apple help center and tell them you can't find the Font Book program...they will really enjoy your call. Oh yeah! If you STILL can't find it...try installing OS X 10.3...you ARE using a Mac, right?
