10.3: Share digital devices via Image Capture

With enabled web sharing there seems to be another nice feature in the new Image Capture: the help says with "certain cameras" you can take pictures and use the camera to monitor an area remotely!

Does anybody know which digital cameras can be controlled by Image Capture that way? With my Canon Powershot S40 I had no luck. The Remote Monitor feature in the web interface is greyed out. :-(

I was able to use my Kodak DC280 (a bit slow & old, but still useful!) -- I could even set up the "Remote Monitoring" page.

This is one of my favorite "cool things" about Panther. I think I like it even better than Exposé

10.3: Share digital devices via Image Capture

I was able to get my Nikon 880 to work, but with very inconsistent results. Browsing shared devices is a lot more reliable for me than web-sharing. However, when web sharing did work, I was able to browse and monitor.
Anyone try sharing a device over the internet?

Another change in Image Capture is the rotating quartz cube while downloading images, nice touch.
