Just go to Customize Toolbar and you can add and take away stuff. Also, you can drag any folder and app up to the topbar just like befor. But to remove it just open Customize Toolbar again. here is an example of how i configured mine: http://homepage.mac.com/sharkdrive/PantherFinderWindow.jpg

To remove an item, you can Control-Click it and from the contextual menu select "Remove Item". This saves a trip to the Customize Toolbar setup.

You can also command-drag items in the toolbar to drag them around, and command-drag them out of the toolbar to (poof) remove them.
