Yup, but the "Left Sidebar" isn't just the old Finder Shelf moved elsewhere. It also combines the top level of the directory (mounted drives and so on). AIUI, you lose this too when you close the Sidebar, which is a bummer.

For me, the sidebar doesn't display servers I've mounted from the new network browser, even though that option is checked in Finder preferences. These servers also no longer show up on the desktop. Is this a new "feature" or a bug? I really don't want to have to navigate through the network browser to get to a mounted server every time I want to access it, or eject it.
