One week to 10.3...
Authored by: spinor on Oct 18, '03 12:12:20AM

Can anyone who's received the developer seeds tell me if in the course of updating from 10.2 to 10.3 the system will notice existing installs of the developer tools and X11 and take care to clean out those old installs? Just wondering if once I get my hands on 10.3 next week I'll need to bother removing them manually beforehand.

Thanks.

I believe that when you install the new Dev Tools and the new X11 that they will overwrite any trace of the old ones, you need not uninstall to re-install. Also, the old versions will work (with fewer features, but it will work!) so do not worry about it. May I ask why you're not doing a clean install? Panther's X11.app is now in /Applications/Utilities, so the one in /Applications will be old and you may delete it.
