Potential wake from sleep issue with new 15" PowerBook
Authored by: Renigade on Oct 08, '03 04:32:43PM

Integrating 24 (new) iBooks into a school, I found 5 or 6 of them that had the same problem. Just reset the PRAM a couple times (keep holding it til it chimes like 3 or 4 times) and it fixed the problem on the iBooks.

Real wake from sleep issue with G4Ti GHz

First, safest, easiest fix (IMAHO) is, do the old Warm Boot - (Control-Com-Power) -- but please!- make that a boot right into Safe Mode (holding down Com-S) and run "fsck -y" before proceeding. X is very unhappy if you do not.

Have used this with my TiGB countless times, when I find it hasn't really gone to Sleep at all but is in annoyingly active Coma.

It's about the latch. The command Sleep works fine - but close the lid afterwards at your peril. Closing lid to Sleep has always dicey, in G4 books.
