Mounting Compact Flash Cards larger then 128M

According to the the Apple page mentioned in the original post, OSX can't mount MS-DOS Formated CF cards (like those used in Canon cameras) larger then 128M. Apple's suggested solution is to partition the card (which won't work with digital cameras) or use a PC?!?! I find it disturbing that Apple resorts to suggesting PC usage rather then telling you the other simpler (and apparently more embarrassing) method for mounting a CF card on a Mac. Namely, booting in OS9.

OS9 has no problem mounting MS-DOS Formatted Compact Flash cards and OSX still can't as of 10.2.8

I know this is a site dedicated to OSX solutions, but unlike Apple, I'd rather suggest an OS9 solution then a PC solution any day.

No, it says 128 GB (giga). While this might still be an issue for some people mounting really large MSDOS volumes, it's not likely to be a problem for people mounting compact flash cards.
