Copying iTunes songs to an RCA Lyra MP3 player

Which Lyra are you guys using? I've got the 20GB Lyra (HD-based) model and I've never been able to make it work under OS X. I get errors in my logs when I plug it in:

IOHIDSystem: postEvent LLEventQueue overflow.
USBF: 488652.743 AppleUSBOHCI[0x2873000]::MakeDevice error setting address. err=0xe00002ed device=0x4084800 - releasing device

(This carries on like this; output obtained from dmesg).

I can make it work on my Linux box as a mountable device if I mount it vfat, but I can't seem to make it work under OS X. Any pointers would be extremely welcome.

Which RCA Lyra

I should have stated in the post that this was with regards to the Flash MP3 Player.

This solution only pertains to a drive that you can mount. If you can't mount the drive, I don't think there is anything you can do until someone (Apple or otherwise) writes a driver for that particular File Format.
