Assign key commands to menu items in Quicken
Authored by: jlpage on Sep 12, '03 02:41:19PM

In Quicken 2003 Intuit changed the keyboard shortcut for "Print Checks" from Command+P to Shift+Command+P . ( Command+P now prints the Register.)

To me this was a dumb change since I print checks much, much more often than I print a register. Out of habit I now call up the "Print Register" window when trying to print checks!

This hint will not work to change the "Print Checks" shortcut back to Command+P , but it will allow you to change the command for printing the register to Command+R, so at least it has stopped me from calling up the "Print Register" command through habit.

Apparently the Quicken application is set to use Shift+Command+P to print checks, and the Shift+Command portion cannot be changed.
