This hint is really just common sense, and could (should?) have been left off of macosxhints.

I agree... though I'm happy this individual was able to accomplish this "task", it's not really a hint...

There are several ways you could copy your on-Mac email in order to move it to a new machine. It's not something most people do very often. I, for one, was glad to know that moving my Mail.app mail will be this simple when I decide to upgrade my machine (or if I ever want to completely reconfigure my current one).

There's plenty of room on this site for hints of all levels.
