Migrating saved Mail structure and data to a new machine

If you are already using .Mac for the transfer, is it not possible to just turn on IMAP, and have the folder structure duplicated via Mail.app?

Some details are here: http://www.apple.com/switch/howto/mailbox.html

Actually, it looks like the the folder structure needs to be duplicated by hand, but the Apple "switch" web pages do have other useful file transation information.

Mail that has been moved out of your .Mac IMAP folders onto your Mac must be copied manually. You'd need to store email on your hard drive if you have more than 10-15MB of mail you are keeping, unless you buy more .Mac email storage.
