Install a PCI wireless card in non-AirPort-ready Macs
Authored by: Çelçiüsº on Sep 03, '03 10:24:16PM

I've been tied to an ethernet cable since the OSX beta made my Skyline PCI card unusable on my trusty G3 AIO. I installed a Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter (about $60) and got full Airport 802.11g functionality. Internet sharing both to and from wireless, Create Networks, even the signal strength menu icon. Configuration from the Airport tab in the Network Preference Panel. It all worked right out of the box with OS 10.2.7. Not waiting for those long-promised Skyline drivers anymore.
