I want to use my Powerbook G3 (pismo) for a similar purpose, are there any PC-cards that supports 802.11g that works with Mac OS X?

Apple Supports only their own Airport Extreme cards.

But

Any Broadcom-based PCI or card cus card will work.

Check out http://www.osxhax.com

Look around the forums for cards that are known to work.

I am using a Belkin 54g card bus card on my Powerbook G4 right now.

Couldn't (easily..;-) find anything there, do you know some cards I should look for? Any list available of compatible cards?

OWC (OtherWorld Computers) is currently selling an external (PMCIA) card that is 802.11g compliant for $49. With OS X (v10.2.6) and the latest Airport software, it is absolutely plug-and-play in my Pismo.
