Experience with realtek driver and Farallon card
Authored by: Obi on Oct 11, '01 05:32:09PM

I have similar experiences with the realtek driver and
a Farallon net-line card in my DA 533 G4. It seems
to work, connecting to the internet works, printing not.

The second PCI ethernet slot card shows up in the
network preferences nicely. This enables you to make
your own settings for this card.
I've set up mine up to use appletalk, and it is

However, I have a strange problem with printing.
I have a Laserjet 4M PS printer connected to the Farallon card.
It is recognized with appletalk, but when it prints
it only prints postscript error messages. This happens
in any program under X.
I've tried to restore the factory settings of the
printer, but it didn't work.
The Farallon card works fine with a cable modem connected to
it under X. So it appears that the drivers work, at least
with a cable modem.
