Yeah, this works for Illustrator too! I found it so annoying! Gone! Thanks!

Try using the CTRL, OPT, Shift, Space, and Apple/Command keys to get all sorts of options to tools and palettes in Adobe apps. You can use combinations of these keys for even more variations. (symmetric, vs asym; center-based vs corner-based; copy-drag; zoom; pan; constraints, etc.) Experiment away!
