Navigating to compilation albums in iTunes

If you do a Command+I on one of these compilation songs, there's a check box to turn off the "Compiliation" option altogether.

I thought the way iTunes treated compilations was dumb, so I disabled this a long time back.

Just uncheck the "Part of a Compilation" box and iTunes will offer to take care of the rest.

Now your compilations will be treated like normal albums.

One of the justifications for iTunes "Compilation" support is that it puts the whole album into the Compilations folder in the music library, rather than having 20 different top-level folders, one for each artist.

(What bugs me are people who enter album data on CDDB and consider a single-artist album to be a compilation! Stop that!)

Tell me about it! That is irritating.
