Save embedded objects easily in Safari

<blockguote>Phzer80s: Doesn't seem to work for movie trailers on the Quicktime site. Any suggestions?</blockquote>

It worked for me. Did you let the QT movie to load in full? The "Save as" became available only after the whole film had loaded.

Save embedded objects easily in Safari

I allowed several Quicktime trailers to load fully in their own windows and still could not save them. No "Save As" option appeared in the Quicktime window's right-corner options. When I attempted to save the movie file using Safari's File>Save As option, the title of the file appeared in the field (complete with the .mov extension.) The resultant file was only ~4k; clicking on it opened a window in Quicktime saying Quicktime 5.02 or higher is required to run the movie. I've got 6.3! Were these streaming files?

Do you need Quicktime Pro for this to work with the trailers? Flash .swf files saved without problems as did embedded movie files on other sites.
