Why seperate locations?

So when you create the new Ethernet connection, does it adopt the current settings? I don't see where you can specify Fixed vs DHCP when creating the new connection.

Neat idea.

how to set up multiple ethernet settings in a single location

Once you specify and activate the second ethernet connection, click and hold show "network port configurations." You will be able to modify network settings for each active connection. The "ON" button must be checked for the setting to show up in the list.
