Xmeeting is the name of the project to bring a suite of video conferencing tools to Mac OS X. ophoneX is the video conferencing program that is part of Xmeeting. If you are behind a NAT device, make sure adjust the preferrences accordingly. There are also instructions on what ports need forwarded on your NAT device.

Also check out the macam project, which provides open source USB camera drivers. Macam and ophoneX work well together and are how I video conferenced with my parents until I got my iSight today.

Finally, ophoneX has great support from its author, Pai-Hsiang Hsiao (who sometimes goes by Shawn). He has helped many people on his mailing list and helped me through email directly.
