Prevent camcorder power-downs in video applications

If the camcorder doesn't sense a tape, it assumes that you must be recording to an external deck using the signal out ports. Reasons for this could be the need to record for longer durations or in a different tape format.

Back before there were camcorders, video cameras were two-piece affairs, one huge camera and one massive tape recording deck. When the two units merged and became much smaller, there was still a need to record out to an external deck. I believe that is the main reason why camcorders do not shut down when no tape is detected.
