Import multiple CD tracks as one song in iTunes4
Authored by: tyagi on Jun 24, '03 03:48:34AM

Are there the usual side effects of having a long track when playing these back on the iPod? It would be great if the multiple tracks could be played back as if they were a single, long track, without _actually_ being a "single long track" (if you see what I mean). This would give significant power benefits when using the iPod for playback.

Anyone any experience?

the best answer i can give is, "sometimes..." every now and then when playing a track that's bigger than the RAM buffer i've noticed a pause or a "hiccup" at some point during playback. i don't always hear it and it's never in the same place twice in my experience. when it happens i find myself looking down at the iPod and saying "what?" to myself (a habit i picked up when i had a nomad jukebox, which had the hiccups so much it needed burping...) and then as fast as the pause comes it goes. it's not a prob.
