Use iTunes4 to convert AIFF files without adding to library
Authored by: DougAdams on Jun 06, '03 01:11:30PM
We have a script called Rip This Where I Want It: "Rips selected tracks from a CD with iTunes (using an on-the-fly selected encoder; your Preferences-selected encoder is restored after running the script) and places the resulting ripped file(s) into a folder located wherever you designate. Though files are added to iTunes as part of the ripping process they are subsequently removed from the Library (and removed from the Music folder under OS X)."

Cheers!

Use iTunes4 to convert AIFF files without adding to library

All my jam sessions are already on my HD, they're just in aiff format, taking up tons of space. That script needs a CD, but maybe I can edit it and make one to fit my purposes. Thanks.
