Installing OS 10.2 on Beige G3
Authored by: kerouassady on May 09, '03 02:37:06AM

Dude, I personally watched my boss put a 10.2 boot disc into a 233MHz G3 with nothing more unusual than 192 MB of RAM and a 30GB hard drive (single partition), and do an easy install of Jaguar without a hitch. It rebooted and is running fine. Actually it is surprisingly responsive. He's not using it for anything more than learning his way around the OS and playing around with Networking, but, still, I was impressed after reading about the hoops people jumped through to do exactly what he did.

Installing OS 10.2 on Beige G3

I have a Beige G3 with a 233Mhz processor and only the original 4GB hard drive. Ram Available is over 500MB. What can I do to Run OS 10.2+ on this machine. It sounds like it is possible. Is it worth it? Currently I am running 9.2.2. I have some issues with running an Excel program on the 9.2.2 OS Version. The Version for OSX has no issues in running the same program. Any help is appreciated.
