Installing OS 10.2 on Beige G3

I wanted to point out that this first 8GB partition is a
limitation of the IDE controller (as mentioned in another
comment). If you have Apple's SCSI controller (or
somebody else's I assume), the 8GB limitation does not
apply. I have a Beige G3 with a G4/500 upgrade with a IBM
50GB drive on Apple's SCSI controller unpartitioned
running Mac OS 10.2.6.

The problem comes from the voodoo graphics. OS X couldn't
boot with it.
Try with an ATI Radeon PCI card.
