Force 'new window' links to open in current window
Authored by: calroth on Apr 25, '03 08:56:05PM

I hate sites with links that open in new windows.

Fortunately, there's a way you can block this in Mozilla (and possibly Camino). Edit user.js to have user_pref("browser.block.target_new_window", true);

Hmm, this probably qualifies as a hint in itself, if someone wants to submit it :-)

Force 'new window' links to open in current window

use about:config and you can change browser.block.target_new_window directly without having to edit your prefs.js file. this feature first appeared in mozilla in release 1.3, if memory serves and is available on all platforms. it looks a bit like the winduhs (boo!) registry, but easier to use and less fatal when you error...

will this posting get me karma points towards a new g5?
