Switching tabs via the keyboard in Safari Beta 2
Authored by: erikzred on Apr 16, '03 01:23:52PM

Several menu items were missing for me including the ones for
next and previous tab (as well as "new tab" and "close tab").
These features worked on my other Macs so i knew something
was wrong. I tried deleting the preference files but that didn't fix
it. I found i had run SafariEnhancer in the past so I ran that
program and reset defaults -- then it came up and said there
was a new version. I downloaded the new version and ran it.
Now all my menu items and keyboard shortcuts for them are
back. I also, in the process, made sure I removed a little util I
had once installed called MenuExtraEnabler. That might have
been what was causing the problem. One of the above corrected
the problems.

it was more likely Safari Enhancer. Menu Extra Enabler has to
do with the menu extras -- things ending with .menu. The
monitor, battery, clock, etc. that come with the OS are located in
/System/Library/CoreServices/MenuExtras. Some third party
menu extras, such as Unsanity's Cee Pee You, need Menu Extra
Enabler to function.
